Florin Țibu

Florin Tibu, Ph.D. is a Developmental Psychologist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania. For the past 20 years, Florin has been actively involved in research with children (from prenatal age through adolescence) and families, working particularly with children who had been subjected to early life adversities like prenatal stress and early neglect and abuse. Florin is a Co-Investigator in the ADORe ERA-Net NEURON transnational research project (www.project-adore.com) where he studies neuropsychological substrates of internalizing psychopathology in neglected adolescents. He is also a long-standing collaborator in the Bucharest Early Intervention Project (BEIP; www.bucharestearlyinterventionproject.org). Florin’s main area of expertise is the study of behavioral, emotional, cognitive and physiological consequences of early exposure to adverse environments, and the psychological and neurophysiological outcomes of psychosocial interventions in children.
